Hello you all, my name is Desiree Turner and I am from Wilmington, North Carolina. I am currently a senior at Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina where I major in Mass Communications. My goal is to become a news anchor as well as a journalist. I feel as though I am capable of handling all things pertaining to media and journalism. As I know myself, I am sure of my skills and abilities. Viewers and audiences should know of my intellect, well-spoken skills, writing skills, etc. I hope to bring significant positivity, enthusiasm, and success to this program starting at the door with my position as an event greeter.

The TMT Mentee internship program is a part-time, 20-week program where talented and motivated undergraduate students will get first-hand experience working for the TMT Youth Community Foundation. Interns will be exposed to the many facets of television production, teaching as a thought partner throughout their job search process after graduation. TMT Mentees will also have exposure and networking opportunities with the multiple partner organizations affiliated with the TMT Youth Community Foundation and TooMuchTV Inc.

The Technology Industry is a fast and ever-changing sector. Therefore, a technology internship is not only important to entering the industry but also your best bet to gain hands-on experience. Internships within the Technology Industry are as varied as the industry itself. From designing or redesigning websites to working on full-scale ad campaigns, to being exposed to the day-to-day operations of running a company; working with the TMT Youth Community Foundation provides opportunities to be exposed to all aspects of the company.
